PMU Training
The GREAT Program conducted an informative and interactive 3-day training session for colleagues of the Project Management Units (PMUs) of Son La and Lao Cai. The intensive training focused on equipping PMU members with the necessary skills and know-how to effectively manage and support implementation of the Program’s diverse portfolio of projects. Key training topics focus on Program’s underlying approach – Market System Development for Women’s Economic Empowerment (MSD for WEE), the use of business model and intervention logic tools including practical exercises based on selected projects, understanding and communication the process of systems change, monitoring and evaluation, financial management and communications.
The training was met with enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from PMU members. Ms. Chu Huong Giang (PMU Lao Cai), shared, “I gained valuable knowledge about the Program’s approach, business models, and intervention logic and other skills in project management. I feel more confident in applying these skills to my daily project management tasks.”
The GREAT Program is committed to working in partnership with and building the capacity of PMU members to ensure effective project implementation and to maximise Program impact. Through this training, PMU members will be better equipped to manage and support GREAT-supported projects that empower ethnic minority women, promote sustainable economic development, and contribute to the overall socio-economic growth of communities in both Son La and Lao Cai.
